The Pregnancy and Early Parenting Resource Directory was developed in response to the community's need for a comprehensive, updated and easy-to-use online directory of services and programs for pregnant women and new mothers. As a specialty directory linked to the 2-1-1WNY directory of health and human services, it also provides information on many other general resources available in Western New York.
In conjunction with the development of this new directory, the Call 2-1-1 telephone helpline has been established as a starting point to assist pregnant women and new mom find services and programs which will best serve their needs. Using this directory, the trained Information and Referral Specialists can help callers find programs for which they are eligible, are closest to their home and are designed for their particular needs.
The directory was implemented by Western New Public Health Alliance as an initiative of the Healthy Mom-Healthy Baby Program with funding provided by the New York State Department of Health, Division of Family Health. The directory was developed in collaboration with Olmsted Center for Sight/2-1-1WNY and the Erie County Department of Health as well as community stakeholders.
